Kijoshu is a type of sake in which sake is added instead of water in the brewing process. This leaves more sugar than brewing with 100% water, resulting in a thicker, sweeter flavor. This Kijoshu from Masuizumi has a honey-like aroma and an elegant, sophisticated sweetness. The pretty Venetian bottle has an elegant wooden label. Also very suitable as a gift.
We recommend chilling this kijoshu well and enjoying it as an aperitif or after-dinner drink, or on its own as a dessert serving a small amount in a wine glass. In addition to drinking, eating with vanilla ice cream is one of the special ways to enjoy sake in a different way than usual.
