浦霞 Urakasumi Miyagi Ume

Junmai Genshu (undiluded) based Ume-shu with an excellent harmony of acidity, sweetness and umami. The plums from Miyagi Prefecture are hand-harvested and slowly extracted into Junmai Sake at low temperatures for about 9 months. This noble Ume-shu has a beautiful rose gold color. Intense aroma of plum peel, amaretto and cranberry on the nose. Moderate refreshing acidity and gentle sweetness go hand in hand with almond and cinnamon notes.

Producer: 浦霞 urakasumi

Founded in Miyagi prefecture in 1724 as sake brewer for offerings to the Shiogama shrine. Since the 1930s the brewery was led by the famous brewing master Hirano and gained important prizes. They are famous for their aromatic Ginjo style with strong character. The brewery developed the sake yeast no.12.
