Brewed according to a more than 150 years old recipe and cooked over an open pine wood fire
Yuasa Tamari is a special Koikuchi (Dark) type soy sauce and is slowly and carefully brewed and aged in 150 year old cedar wood barrels for 1 year. Manufacturer Kadocho has remained true to the traditional recipe and manufacturing method since its inception in 1841. Accordingly, the soy sauce is slowly cooked and reduced in a Japanese pot over an open pine wood fire to bring out the original mild and rich flavor of the Yuasa soy sauce. The raw materials are carefully selected: the soybeans come from Okayama Prefecture and the wheat from Gifu Prefecture. Yuasa Tamari has a dense consistency, complex caramel and vanilla aroma with intense umami flavor. Use: A few drops with steak, fatty tuna or salmon sashimi. Also great for dipping and marinating.

Founded 1841 in the birthplace of soy sauce “Yuasa", in Wakayama prefecture, by the Kano family.
Using a traditional recipe since the foundation, higher soybeans share (6: 4= soybeans: wheat) and only Japanese ingredients (soybeans, wheat). After pressing, the soy sauce is cooked and reduced for half a day in traditional cauldrons with open fires using local pine wood.
