Rheingau Koshu is a unique wine. Made from the white indigenous Japanese grape variety "Koshu" and with the typical Rheingau terroir: fruity aromas of yellow apple, white peach and citrus. In addition, nuances of white flowers and white pepper. The taste of this particular wine presents itself mineral and dry with a medium body. A very harmonious wine with a good balance of sweet and sour. As the first winery in the world, Schönleber-Blümlein has managed to cultivate a koshu outside of Japan with a lot of passion and dedication. Contains sulfites.

Producer: schönleber-blümlein
The Schönleber Blümlein vinery dates back to 1746 and is now led by the 12th generation. Their philosophy “never stop thinking” causes the systematical questioning of every step in the production and leads to best quality. Along with the classical grape varieties of Riesling and Spätburgunder the vinery grows, unique in Rheingau and for the first time outside of Japan, the Japanese autochthone Koshu grape. Trying to bring together the Rheingau terroir with the cultivation of the Koshu grape leads to an extraordinary product: the Rheingau Koshu.
