Very rare Kokuto Shochu aged over 40 years. Made by the Distillery Harada Shuzo on the island Okinoerabu in Kagoshima. This outstanding Kokuto Shochu is distilled in 1977, partly aged in oak. The final bottling in 2007 was limited to 1500 bottles. Great harmony of subtle aromas and taste; rum raisin, walnuts, Christmas pudding, vanilla, white flowers and orange peels. Amazingly rich and mellow, very complex and long finish. Enjoy straight or on the rocks.

Producer: 昇龍 shoryu
Harada Shuzo is located on Okierabu island. The current owner has inherited this small distillery in 1972, and since then they have decided to produce a unique and delicious Kokuto (brown sugar) Shochu, to survive as a small distillery. They started barrel aging and blending and achieved an aromatic and full-bodied Kokuto Shochu. The brand name "Rising Dragon" was inspired by an image that came to the owner while contemplating the full moon.
