Top brand of Okierabu Shuzo, located in island Okinoerabu in Kagoshima. An undiluted shochu aged for 5 years in tank and oak. Woody flavour and richness but a refreshing attack. Thanks to aging in oak, it has a rich aroma of apricot, rose, plum, nuts, cacao butter and walnut. Creamy and elegant. Using twice as much muscovado as usual gives a rich flavour and taste. Very elegant and complex. Best enjoyed straight or on the rocks.

Okierabu Shuzo is a bottling company established in 1969 by 6 distilleries (now 4 of them left). It is located 550km south-south-west of Kagoshima city, in the middle of the upheaved coral reef island Okierabu. While trying various blends, they care very much about the rich flavor of Kokuto Shochu as well as a soft and smooth taste.
