In this masterclass, sake expert Yoshiko Ueno-Müller sheds light on the history and tradition of sake, the art of sake brewing, aromas and flavor profiles as well as the role of sake as an accompaniment to food.
The following 8 premium sakes will be tasted, combined with finely matched snacks: the bottle-fermented sparkling sake FUKUJU Awasaki, the all-rounder for izakaya cuisine HATSUMAGO Kimoto Tradition, the TEDORIGAWA, the KATSUYAMA Lei created by Richard Geoffroy, former chef de cave at Dom Pérignon, IWA Assemblage 4 created from 20 different base sakes, the IKEKAME Rosé fermented from black and red ancient rice, the MASUIZUMI Junmai Daiginjo Special matured in used Burgundy barrels and the URAKASUMI Miyagi Ume flavored with ume plum.
