Celebrate World Sake Day with us and discover three exceptional Japanese sakes from the comfort of your own home, guided live by our team.

This online tasting is about much more than the flavours in your glass. Together, we will taste KATSUYAMA En, DEWAZAKURA Yukimegami and NINKI Gold. You will discover their origins, individual aromas and distinctive characteristics, as well as suitable food pairings, serving temperatures and glassware.

We will also take you behind the scenes of sake production. How does rice become sake? Why do water and rice polishing matter? What is koji, and why is it essential for fermentation? What roles do the tōji and kurabito play at a brewery?

The experience goes beyond tasting. We will explore how Japanese sake is made, why koji is essential and which traditional sake-making skills were recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2024.

You can submit your questions in advance through our online form. Selected questions will be discussed during the live tasting.
