Wagyu – literally “Japanese cow” – is world-renowned for its intense marbling, buttery texture, and rich umami flavor. Especially Kobe beef, from Hyogo Prefecture, represents the pinnacle of Japanese culinary craftsmanship. This set was specially curated to complement that luxurious meat: two premium sakes, brewed to elevate the delicate sweetness and deep savoriness of Wagyu. 

A pairing that unites the elegance of Japan’s finest sake brewing with the depth and complexity of the country’s most exclusive ingredient – a true gourmet experience for refined palates.

FUKUJU “Kobe Gold” (Hyogo) – 720 ml 

An elegant Daiginjo from the very region that gave the world its legendary Kobe beef. Brewed with Yamada Nishiki rice and the famous mineral-rich Miyamizu water, it shows aromas of Japanese pear, apple, and melon with creamy notes of fennel and herbs. The texture is smooth and mild, finishing clean and dry with a light bitterness – the perfect match for grilled Wagyu or savory fish dishes. 

Style: Aromatic & expressive, semi-dry 

Rice: Yamada Nishiki (50%) 

Serving temp.: 10–15 °C 

KATSUYAMA “Den” (Miyagi) – 720 ml 

A masterpiece of Junmai Daiginjo brewing. Made with Yamada Nishiki rice polished to 35%, this sake offers a refined harmony of fruitiness, acidity, and umami. Flavors of peach, lychee, and gentle rice nuances unfold with a silky texture and long finish. “Den,” meaning tradition, was specially crafted to pair with Wagyu – bringing out its natural umami and luxurious sweetness. 

Style: Semi-dry, complex & elegant 

Rice: Yamada Nishiki (35%) 

Serving temp.: 10–15 °C
