Rihaku Wandering Poet 300ml

A renowned Junmai Ginjo sake from Shimane Prefecture which was named after the legendary Chinese poet, Li Bai (Jap. “Rihaku”), who was famous for his love of poetry and sake. The taste is soft, full-bodied, and elegant, with a fine balance between mild sweetness and clear acidity. Notes of ripe pears, melons, and steamed rice unfold on the palate, accompanied by a silky texture. The aromas are subtly fruity with hints of banana, aniseed, and a light touch of herbs. Excellent with sushi, sashimi, grilled fish and vegetables.

Founded 1882 in Shimane prefecture. The brewery is named after the great Chinese Poet Rihaku (chin. Li Bai, 701-762 a.c.). The brewery has high quality parameters and uses the best local rice from the region.

Classification of Premium Sake

For high quality sake, rice is polished prior to processing with the goal of eliminating the bran and protein which encase the starch held at the center of the rice grain.
