Masuizumi Oaked Kijoshu
This sweet Kijoshu is an award-winning Koshu and 2021 IWC award-winner. Double fermented using the Kijoshu method, this sake is then aged in oak barrels, giving it its characteristic cognac color and intense, complex aroma. Notes of vanilla, honey, and winter spices combine with perfectly-layered umami and rich, lacquered sweetness, accompanied by moderate acidity. Full-bodied and aromatic, this sake is an exceptional alternative to vintage port or Pedro Ximénez.
